Porcelain & Composite Dental Inlays & Onlays
Dr. Maxim Skormin can provide you with dental inlays and onlays if your teeth are not damaged enough for a crown, but need more treatment than a filling can provide. We make our inlays and onlays of porcelain and composite materials to match the color of your teeth and give you a long-lasting, beautiful result.
An inlay or onlay is a dental restoration used to repair damage or decay. Our experienced dentist may recommend a dental inlay or onlay when the damage is not severe enough to warrant the use of a dental crown, but too serious to be repaired with a filling. Inlays and onlays are custom-made from porcelain, composite resin, or gold.
Your dentist will make sure your inlay or onlay perfectly fits your tooth, restoring the health, function, and appearance of your smile. As soon as they are placed, they are virtually undetectable in the mouth and conserve much of your natural tooth structure. A damaged tooth can be restored with an inlay or onlay. In contrast to a dental onlay, which is used when damage extends to one or more of the cusps of the tooth, a dental inlay is used when damage does not extend to the cusps. If you need a dental inlay or onlay to restore your smile, we can help.
